We just take a little getaway…

Well,  I hope everyone enjoyed their three-day vacation as much as we did! We set out Friday afternoon, and after a short traffic set back we were on our way to the coast. Friday night was filled with karaoke, dinner and drinks, and ended later than we all probably wanted after a long drive down.

We filled Saturday with surf, sand and good times with friends and family. Dinner and football games filled our night and we are all happy to say that all of our teams are still undefeated! War Eagle!

Sunday we had brunch at the famous McGuire’s and then headed on to the beach for another afternoon. That night we stayed in to cook shrimp from Joe Patti’s fish market and played games until late into the night. Monday we were sad to call the trip over and we ran over to the dog beach to tire the dogs out before the long drive home. Gandalf and Hewitt LOVED the beach and we can’t wait to take them back again the next time we are down.

If you follow me on Instagram you already saw this picture but I thought it was worthy of re-post based solely on Gandalf's what the heck expression!

Gandalf got in some play time with the other big dogs running through the water.

After the drive back home we unpacked, cleaned the house, bathed the dogs and shopped for groceries.

Sadly our weekend is over, but the best part of three-day weekends are  four-day work weeks! Hope everyone has a good one! It is already Hump Day! What did everyone else do to pass the time over the long weekend? Anyone else weird like us and clean immediately after they get home from a trip? Or always have to shop for groceries on Sundays?
